The CEO Mindset

Inside my group coaching program, we've gone deep on all things to scale a business. This week my group shared that the most powerful part of the program is the work they are doing on their:

C.E.O. Mindset

It's made them more decisive, confident, and feeling in control.

When hit with a challenge, they now recover faster.

A Cambridge Institute of Technology research study attributes success to three key factors: environment, skill, and psychology (mindset). The staggering part of the study’s conclusions is that success is driven 85% by mindset.

No matter how much energy and effort we focus on methods or actions, our mindset is the biggest contributor to breaking bad habits and creating new ones.

Mindset work feels woo-woo to some. There are many resistors.

But what if it was simple?

We train to beat our personal best on Peloton.

We train our fingers scrolling on social media.

We train to gain new skills.

We build new habits all of the time.

What about training your mindset?

Training your mind to help you achieve success and recover faster.

10 minutes a day to mind your mind.

Training in pursuit of how you want to feel.

In pursuit of what’s possible for your extraordinary life.

In pursuit of having an impact today.

It’s easy.

What’s hard is being intentional, deliberate, and consistent with it.

That’s the hardest part for most people.

The hardest part is making a commitment to do the work to be the ‘watcher’ of your brain to set your brain up for success each day. 10 minutes a day.

This proven practice of listening to your thoughts and recognizing how they make you feel creates clarity, confidence, and courage for my clients.

Training your brain starts with downloading all of the sh*t that’s in your head.

Writing it down to unload the baggage, make sense of it, and focus on what you want to create. When you remove thoughts that distract you, you clear space to focus.

When I write, I see what I'm struggling with.

When I write, I see with more clarity.

When I write, I navigate energetic conversations ahead of time.

When I write, new thoughts surface that I wouldn't have if I hadn’t put pen to paper.

As I write each morning, ideas emerge. Thoughts magically find their way onto the page without much thought. (What!?)

Training your brain helps you recover faster from the daily grind.

Most C.E.O.s don’t have much time in their day, but these ten minutes give you back your time—time that was once stuck in rumination, worry, and overthinking.

You will find that the days you skip your daily writing will be the days when you need it most.

Here’s a simple writing plan:

  1. Start by downloading what happened yesterday: the good, bad, and ugly.

  2. Write about what worked, what didn’t, and what you would do differently. **Once you know what you want to do differently, your outcomes will be different.

  3. Write about being on your A game today, and what success looks like today—creating your future ahead of time.

Success is possible.

Change is possible, but you must do more than decide you’re ready; you must take the leaps to make it happen.

85% of success = mindset. Don’t you want those odds?

I know this because of the work I've done on my mindset. But, when I heard the members of my group program celebrate their success and the work they’ve done to mind their minds, it was more than a good reminder; it was proof.

If you are considering working with a Coach or want to know more about the components of a Coaching engagement, let’s get on a call with this link.

The question I get most frequently on these calls, ‘what results can I achieve?’ Here’s what one client shared:

I was floundering in a way that I had never experienced before in my professional career. Emotions were high, I couldn't manage my way out of a difficult period at work, and I was desperate to regain my footing. Through my work with Christina I was able to not only successfully get through that tough time, but I turned that challenge into an opportunity to completely re-vision my professional future. - Pharmaceutical Executive
