One Powerful Time Management Practice for CEOs
I worked with a senior leader years ago who blocked off two hours on his calendar every day. On the shared company calendar, it was labeled ‘Me Time.’ I naively made fun of it .
What could he be doing?
He is now a successful Chief Revenue Officer at a high-growth company you would know.
I wish I had come from a place of curiosity instead of unhelpful judgment. I now understand he invested the time to focus on his highest priorities.
He got sh*t done. He's now the sh*t.
How much time do you think each week? Really think.
In the hustle of the week, most don’t take the time to slow down to speed up.
I commit two hours each week, and it's become the most generative time for me each week.
Me Time
Get Sh*t Done Time
SuperThink Time
The name is not as important as the investment, consistency, and action.
Innovation comes first from thought, not action.
This time isn't shoved in in-between meetings, during bathroom breaks, or when things slow down.
I also consider…
30 minutes a pass-through.
One hour is really 40 minutes of thinking time because it takes 10 minutes for the brain to focus, and at the 50-minute mark, you are on to what’s next.
Two consecutive hours is a minimum for me to move from the reactive to the creative.
SuperThink is a name that came from a mastermind I'm in that helps entrepreneurs get out of the daily hustle and get into a place of value creation and leading from vision.
The busy bees will think this is...
Indulgent.
Impossible.
Impractical.
But those thoughts keep you playing small.
I prepare for my forward-thinking time in advance by making a list of things that bubble up throughout the week.
This reduces distraction which saves me time. It also reduces my worrying about things because I know I've dedicated time to focus on them.
If you are stuck in what you would do with 120 minutes, here are a few prompts to inspire you to think and put pen to paper to start creating your future today.
If I focused on one thing that would impact all things, what would it be?
What does GREAT look like versus bigger?
When I do less better, I will…
If I raised my capacity to _____, I would become?
What is working now that will NOT work in the future when I grow?
What am I tolerating that needs a better process?
If I broke my own glass ceiling, I would…
Innovation comes first from thought. Be intentional, deliberate, and consistent, and your future will unfold.
If you dive into these prompts, I'd love to hear what came up for you!

The question I get most frequently on these calls, ‘what results can I achieve?’ Here’s what one client shared:
“The biggest impact working with Christina....The biggest change I've noticed about myself internally is.... Increased comfort with uncertainty. I now have confidence in my ability to manage difficult situations and control my own destiny. I'm taking a much more 'offensive' approach to managing my career, even when the immediate next step isn't clear.”
