Self-Trust for High Achievers

What if, in 2025, you could build a life you don’t need a vacation from next year?

This week, I did what I always do in mid-December - frantically coming up with the 'perfect' gift ideas, checking my calendar, rushing between client calls, and wondering how another year had passed so quickly.

I also forced myself to dedicate time to review 2024.

-What worked?

-What didn’t work?

-What will I do differently?

My brain doesn’t want to slow down to look back. It tells me I'm wasting time.

One of my favorite quotes: If you are not winning, you are learning.

You can’t learn until you do the work to audit.

[Here’s the 3As Formula to give you a process to reflect on your year.]

The uncomfortable truth about 2024 is that I've spent too much time running on autopilot, following others' formulas for success.

In my review, I rated my self-trust a 6/10. Whenever I chose someone else's "best practices" over my gut feeling, I gave away a piece of my power.

The most valuable lesson from building my business wasn't about strategy or systems – it was learning that being wrong on my own terms feels infinitely better than being right on someone else's.

Your instincts are a treasure chest of every experience, failure, and triumph you've ever had.

They're whispering to you constantly, but in our noise-filled world, we often silence our inner wisdom in favor of external validation.

Here are the 5 Lessons I learned in 2024:

  • Trust my intuition... every day, not on occasion

  • My content is my legacy; creating fuels me

  • Count on myself - success is an inside job

  • It’s never as hard as I think

  • Being consistent with my weekly review (where I’m winning and learning) is a reflection practice that is the greatest source of my growth

What if 2025 was the year you truly came alive?

As Howard Thurman said, "Don't ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive, and go do it. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive."

Before you step into 2025, ask yourself:

  • What energy-draining relationships, habits, or beliefs are you ready to release?

  • What would your life look like if you trusted yourself completely?

  • Where are you dimming your light to fit someone else's expectations?

For me, 2025 will be about reclaiming my intuition.

About creating deeper connections instead of wider networks.

About measuring success by moments of genuine impact.

The power to transform your life doesn't start on January 1st. It starts the moment you decide to listen to that quiet voice inside that's been waiting to be heard.

What's your voice telling you?

The best way to make things better isn't to wait for the perfect moment – it's to begin. Right here. Right now.

Here's to building a life so authentic and purposeful that you'll never need an escape.

This picture reminds me to listen to my intuition.
