Hard Work, Possibility & Avoidance

Did you know that most of your hard work is keeping you from the real work?

That hard work you do is more comfort food than transformative.

It's actually a distraction from the real work.

Your calendar is full.

Your list of to-dos keeps getting longer.

Then, you blame your lack of time on...

why you’re not achieving

why you're so busy

why you don’t have a long-term plan

why you're not growing

why you are in overwhelm

...and telling yourself nothing is working…

Blaming thoughts are shame in disguise.

Those thoughts are not generative.

Worse, they are having you avoiding what you really want.

Here is the thing …

The real work that you 'can't get to' is the work that will give you what you want.

Give you more.

Give you freedom.

Give you the life, career, and business you say you want.

What are you not getting to that you wish you had time for?

When we prioritize everything, nothing is a priority.

This has you holding yourself back from exploring possibilities.

What if?

What if is a question of possibilities.

Thinking differently for yourself and your business starts with an open mind that looks forward to uncovering and discovering the answers to the question: What if?

Asking ‘What if’ is where imagination plays.

When you move away from doing things the way you've always done them and open yourself up to imagining what's possible, that's where creation and innovation unfold.

Elon Musk

Jeff Bezos

Sarah Blakely

They imagined what was possible. When they shared their outrageous possibilities, most people responded from their own limiting beliefs that they were crazy and that their idea had no possible chance.

Elon, Jeff, and Sarah (first name basis now) imagined what was possible and then moved to belief and then planning and action.

It’s easy to discount people who have impossible thoughts. We think they are different from us.

They are no different from you or me.

They simply get out of the day's hard work to imagine, begin believing, and take action.

If you don’t allow yourself to imagine what’s possible, you are not allowing yourself to come up with breakthrough ideas that will truly transform your you and business.

That has you staying stuck in the day’s hard work.

Committing to the hard-er work or the real work is not in conflict with your calendar because the time you invest in what you want most will be the thing that gives you your time back.

Your mindset and who you are as the C.E.O. of YOU will grow as your thinking grows.
